Meet our farmers from Poland, Greg and Joanna!

Along with their family and friends, Greg and Joanna provide us with INCREDIBLE elderberries! I'm so glad to know them firsthand, it was a joy to meet them when I visited their home and farm in the summer of 2019.

When Seattle Elderberry was first ramping up in 2017, we were running into elderberry shortages with all of our suppliers. I eventually found Greg and Joanna, placed a small order and was BLOWN AWAY when I opened up the most incredible elderberries I had ever seen. Since that first purchase, we have been working exclusively with Joanna and Greg!

These wild-grown, organic berries are harvested each fall, at the PEAK of ripeness. They bring the berries back to their homestead where they are gently washed and dried slowly, using solar power. Joanna and Greg take such care into their products. The berries are dried on a natural linen sheet, and then they are packed into paper bags. That means that your berries have NEVER touched plastic!

We have established a contract with Greg and Joanna, and they are in the midst of starting an elderberry cooperative with other friends who cultivate elderberries with just as much care. Know that your purchase has  GLOBAL impact! We are so grateful for our relationship with these incredible human beings.

It was such a joy to be a part of their home and their family for a few days in 2019. And we're headed back this fall! I can't wait to take a team back with me some day!
